S.I.U.E.: Masters in Science Applied Mathematics, graduate project was on Krylov Subspace techniques (a way of approximating solutions to extremely large systems of equations, the example I chose was mapping the heat caused by air friction on the wing of a plane) , A average (don't remember the exact GPA), 2007 Bachelors of Science in Applied Mathematics, senior project was on image compression. 3.7 GPA (shouldn't of taken Chinese as my foreign language), 2005
Experience
I have taught college level mathematics for 14 years ranging from remedial Mathematics up to Calculus 2. I started teaching in community colleges, which included traditional students as well as returning students, students who did not complete high school, and homeless students. This is where I found a passion for teaching and helping others with mathematics. I believe that mathematical thinking is truly important in today's world and something that, when learned properly, can benefit people for the rest of their lives. After the birth of my first child I moved to the area and am currently teaching Mathematics, mostly College algebra and Calculus 1 and 2.
