I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science at Pennsylvania State University in 2017. I also spent a semester abroad in Dublin, Ireland.
Experience
In high school, I volunteered to tutor fellow students in math and science classes through the National Honors Society. My degree in Food Science required the completion of the following courses: General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physics, Calculus, Scientific Writing, Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Nutrition & Physiology, Food Engineering, and many more food-related courses. Throughout my time at Penn State, I have conducted several research projects in Food Microbiology and Food Chemistry. I presented the results of these projects at various competitions, winning second place in my division at the American Society for Microbiology (Allegheny Branch) Annual Meeting. I have also completed multiple internships at renowned chemical companies, including DuPont and MilliporeSigma.
